    CSR rep delivered (for the most part)

    I placed the order for the Vostro online on Friday. Later I called to upgrade to Vista Premium. The Dell CSR said he had to cancel the order and place it again with Vista Premium. He said that since it would change my deliver time, he would expedite the order, and upgrade shipping to next day (and I didn't even ask). I also told him I was worried about the LCD graininess and bleeding issues that were reported, and he said he would make sure I got a "good" LCD.

    The Vostro shipped on Monday, and I got it today (Wednesday). The LCD is a LG/Philips, with no bleeding or graininess. So the CSR delivered on 2 counts. 3 day build time, and what appears to be a very nice LCD.

    I don't know if the CSR really did that or if you just got really lucky... The Vostros have been shipping fast and for your case there is dozens of others who have been told the same thing... And it never came true!
