I used a program called CPU-Z to check and see that my processor was the kind I ordered as recommended in the following thread:

    http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=62824

I noticed that the program also had tabs that tell you what king of RAM you have. I thought I was getting 533mhz RAM. CPU-Z says that I have the following:

I was supposed to be getting 1 module, 1024 MB, 533 MHz RAM!!!

Did I get ripped off by Dell with a DOWNGRADE on my RAM?????

Your ram is DDR2, so you have to double the value that CPU-Z is giving you to get the actual reading.
