Did I luck out or is this an error with CPU-Z? I only get 1.6GHz. If I DO have the 770, is it somehow being limited and can I unlock it to get my full speed? This is in an i9300, which I don't want to crack open to look at the CPU itself.

Also, does anyone know of any software for monitoring temperatures with this laptop?

heck yeah! Probably just a bug. Thanks for taking the initiative. Let me know what they say. Hey, does your cpu ever go down to 600MHz? Mine only does for a few seconds after I unplug it. Then up to 800 until I do something processor intensive.

yeah, my cpu does do that. I guess its just xp's builtin acpi power management.

    Hi,
no it may be a bug from cpu-z.
Next version should correct the problem.
    Thanks, and best regards,
