I ran cpu-z on my dell xps m1530 and the core speed shows 1.5MHz instead of the 2.2MHz in the specification. Any suggestions?

    OS, XP
    RAM, 2GB
    VRAM, 250 MB

    Thank You,

Your cpu is being throttled back when not in use. Change the power scheme to "always on" and it will run at full speed all the time.

You can google "intel speedstep" if you want more info.

Btw, your talking about GHz, not MHz. This isn't 1991.
