I'm running Vista in my XPS1210 and neither NOD32 nor BitSecurity found any virus on my computer, I also ran Spyware Doctor and it didn't find any adaware either. But still my computer is always 80-100% usage  , even in safe mode =\....... if I leave it on it will eventually freeze! :( The Task Manager is no use either... it doesn't say which process or service is using my CPU 100%!

    Any thoughts?

It could be because of lot of startup programs... Or some new virus which can't be found... But like "kuncheesh" said - please post the screenshot of your task manager with all processes running on your computer.

I'm sorry for the poor quality but my computer froze and I couldn't take a pic with print screen. If you can't see some process I can try to take a pic before it freezes again.

    Thanks.

when you opejn up the processes, click name to sort them by weither your name, system, and windows.. and close every process thats under your name besides taskmanager and explorer.exe and see if that helps.

Hmmm.... Weird. I don't see anything bad here... Maybe some virus got blended with some vital process. That's the way new viruses are doing these times. It simply injects with the explorer.exe process, or with svchost process and you can't find it that easy. Maybe you should check the registry base to see the startup applications. If you see something suspicious there tell us...

get rid of bitcomment and get utorrent. itll take up less memery.

do a complete reinstall it seems that you have lots of garbage that came with your dell. like that google toolbar and the search assistant,

if you dont want to reinstall you can tweak windows vista

I would bet that killing these proceses may help. You really don't want any "Agent" processes running. A great program for detecting processes and showing how much CPU , memory, etc. a process is using is Taskinfo. It has a trial period but you can use it for 30 days I think. I wouldn't be without Taskinfo.
