    CPU Whine in AMD Processors?

    I've noticed a "whine" like sound coming from under my keyboard on my Inspiron 1521, and I was wondering if there is anyway I can remove this sound as I have read that rmclock removes it from C2D platforms but I have read nothing of AMD, help is appreciated!

    If the whine is being caused by your processor entering certain power states, RMClock could help with your AMD too.

    it doesn't have a C4 option on AMD processors, I already checked that thread
