    Hi All,

I have a question about CPU load.. upon booting my lappy today NHC reported a 55% CPU load when windows loaded up and it seemed to idle at 55% while my comp was not doing anything. and it was getting alittle hot.. 60 to 65C.. and i let it go for an hour or 2.. but when i rebooted it went away and the CPU is acting normal now.. what could have caused that and would there be any lasting damage?

    Thanks

A properly designed laptop should be able to run at 100% CPU-load with no resulting damage, so there is no need to worry. As to what could have caused it; there are many possibilities.

Ctrl+Shift+Esc and see which Process is taking up high CPU usage.

60~65C isn't that bad, although it is a bit hot. It usually only gets that hot when I'm playing some games or when I'm running my Anti-virus, though, so yours may be strange after all. So yeah just look it up at the Task Manager.
