It runs on my xps 420 desktop
-
Sorry you can't.
-
It'll be tough with an integrated graphics card. maybe on the lowest settings.
-
test your lappy at http://www.canirunit.com/
-
I doubt even on the lowest settings that it'll be playable.
-
Well I guess the only thing to do is try out the COD4 demo when the Vostro arrives next week. I doubt it will work but I will let you guys know the outcome.
-
In your guys opinion, what kind of games will run smooth on this system? What is the best looking game that this system will run? Thanks guys.
-
you bought the wrong laptop if you are looking to game. imo, id say nothing unless it was made 2005 or earlier.

if thats intergrated graphics, then i dbout it will run cod4 at all, really if that is intergrated graphics your going to struggle with anything, if you wanted to play games, that was definatly not the graphics to have in a laptop, it scores (720 3d mark 05)
it says here its slower than an x300 which scores 200 (2500 3d mark 05 - over 3 yimes as much), ive had an acer aspire the last couple of years that had an x700, and that scores 900, and that ran battlefield 2 and pro evo soccer 6 top settings, but only ran the new pro evo 2008 on medium and it wasnt all that, so your card is 1/3rd of the power of that card, so you have no chance with any new games in the last 12 months and i wouldnt even try it with cod4 or anything like that,im not even sure battlefield 2 would run on the lowest settings ?

ATI Radeon Xpress 1150
The successor of the Xpress M200 integrated shared memory graphic card for notebooks from ATI shows a good performane for graphic cards without own memory. According ATI, integrated X300 graphics are implemented. The Xpress 1150 is the faster clocked version (Xpress 1100 is slower clocked). Furthermore it was praised as Windows Vista Premium Ready by ATI (shall support Aero Glass fully).
Supports the processors: Mobile Sempron, Mobile Athlon 64, Turion 64 (X2)
The performance is sufficient for elder games and the performance should be below a normal X300.

You'll be able to play quake 3 and the original unreal tournament, but that's about it (and any other game from that era).
