    C640 touchpad locking up

    I have a Latitude C640 which exhibits odd behavior. Without warning the touchpad and point stick will lock up for about 10 seconds. No error messages or anything. I have the latest drivers installed, and Windows XP Pro SP2 is up to date. What could cause this behavior?
