I get this buzzing sound on my new E1505 when i play BF2, it at first sounded like it was coming from the speakers, but I'm not positive. It's really annoying, anyone ever heard of this?

Is it your fan?

fans
----
Open I8kfangui , set all fas to off , then 1 by 1 try each fan low and high modes to find out if its the fans and which side .
Fans are easy to replace by yourself if you don't have in-home service .
Speakers
---------
Connect headphones to see if the sound still there . -
Its not the fans, i read on some other forums and some people are linking it to the graphics card, a few people said Dell had to send them a new laptop, this really sucks. No one has heard of this? It only happens when i play a game like BF2, the menu in BF2 is fine, but once the map loads and the game starts it starts buzzing.
-
Think it could be something that has to with GPU or LCD? Does it change the resolution when you start playing the game?
-
nope, resolution is fine. I plugged in headphones and it does the same thing through them, so i know it is an internal issue.

My graphics card makes a fun noise under some circumstances, like a screeching mouse. But this only happens when I'm running linux.
However, no problems at all on windows, and battlefield 2.
The only thing I can think of is trying new drivers. -
when i reformatted my laptop i installed the latest version of Omega Drivers...i had these in my last E1505 and it worked perfectly.
-
Try running BF2 on DC power, and see if you still have that problem...
Apparently there was defective DC-DC SMPS on a batch of Dell motherboards which would buzz under load when running on AC...I had the same problem on my m1210 and Dell replaced the motherboard -
Just tried that, still buzzes using the battery. This sucks.

well after 3 hours with tech support they are sending me a box to ship the laptop out in. This pisses me off, i get 1 day to enjoy my new laptop, an now it's another 2 weeks with no computer, have to say this is my first bad experience with Dell.
