    Hi Guys,

I'm canadian and I'm interested in purchasing the new Dell xps 1210 but would like some questions answered before taking the plunge:

    1) Is there any coupon or deals for more than $100 - I've searched this site and few others and the best I've found for Canadians is at RedFlagDeals.com for $100 off which isn't jaw-dropping

    2) I'm a teacher in TO and am wondering if they have special offers for educators like Apple does?

    3) The XPS 1210 was unveiled less than a week ago - I have a few weeks to wait before I need to make this purchase - is it worth waiting?? Will better deals come along? If so, where and when? (I know... the last few questions are like asking "what is the meaning of life?" but this site seems to have an answer for every question, lol)

    4) Is there a better machine within this price range and size range? (I've contemplated the MacBook but I'm a pretty loyal PCer and there seems to be too many flaws with the MacBook to make me jump ship as of yet)

Aight, those should keep all of ya busy for quite some time. I appreciate any advice or input you have and thanks in advance for the help!!! :D

when the laptops first arrived june1 there were some great deals to be had. see fatwallet.com/c/18 and slickdeals.net (hot deals forum). do a search for

    m1210

or just browse around. also, make sure your school is registered for dell's EPP (employee purchase program) - you get 12% off through that.

Yeah im starting college here in the us, and my school is part of that EPP deal. Im getting over $500 of free virus software, 4 years of complete premium warranties, Office education professional edition (I think thats what its called), and my printer is costing seriously $20 because of the deal. Ill look on those other sites too though, mabey I can get more money off.

To answer #3 BigDude, the core duo prices just dropped a bit a few days ago, and if you have time to wait a few more weeks, I would, since core 2 is getting close. Prices should stedilly drop for a while on the processors. For #4, I dont think there is another notebook on the market the size of the M1210 that has anywhere near the performance, I mean this thing is better than alot of desktops on the market, and its only 1.4 inches thick! BTW I am too getting one of these, and I cant wait.
