I would really appreciate some input as to why it is not a good idea to buy a new Dell off of Ebay? The advertisements say they are 100% new, unopened, not refurbished. Most of the people selling them have 100% feedback with over 100 replies saying they are a good Ebay trader. Please anyone with any advise please respond!! Thanks

as long as the seller has good feedback and resonds to any questions you send them and communicates well, there is no reason not to buy from ebay. if you can get a good price, go for it.

Dude, I just (a week ago) got myself an IBM A30 with SXGA (super) screen for less than 400 bux, moved memory, CPU and HD from the (myself fried) old one and have a brand spanking new A30 (R7500, 1.13G, 40G, 384MB and brand new IBM keyboard!!!) laptop that I paid more than 1300 2 years ago with XGA screen. The SXGA screen itself cost more than that, much better than i9300's screen I had, can read easy and for a loooong time without any strain.

It is hard to believe but it is as snappy a Tablet Portege M200 with PM1.7G/512MB. Can't beat eBay, can't beat IBM ;o)

Forgot to mention, for the prices Dell is going on eBay you are much better off to get it from the Dell itself with a coupon (it actually less than eBay). That way you will configure it the way you like/need and still have some warrenty going (can return it if you don't like it as well ;)

I second what Goga said. Be sure to pice out the same notebook on Dell.com first. Realize that you can almost always get at least a $750 off coupon, and you have the return period if you arent satisfied with it.

I use Ebay all the time. I sell and buy items, and it is a great place to find some good deals. Just look at all the options.
