    Hi all,

I am planning on buying a Dell E1705 and was wondering if buying them on Ebay is too good to be true, or a great deal. If I buy there, I would be looking for one that is sealed in its original box. Also, is there anything I should look for that would tell me that this item may be "too good to be true"?

    Thanks

I would suggest paying with a credit card through paypal. It will offer more recourse should a problem arise. Might want to check the Dell outlet store as well.

lota legit deals on ebay, make sure they state that they will transfer the warranty into your name.

also like the other guy said, pay through paypal with your credit card, that is the only way youwill be protected 100%, even if paypal screws you.

First : check about Seller Status ( Feedback, Address,... )
Second : ask about warranty of Dell ( also Personal warranty )
Third : check for Service Tag number if their laptop already being used ( then ask Dell about warranty transfer include their Service Tag they give you )
Fourth : Ask them how old is it and where is it come from ( buy from Dell Website, on Ebay or other trade Site, they can get it from Supplier if they work for them at very good price )
Fifth : Before make payment ask them for full refund if you are not happy with their stock ( Payment must be make via Paypal or Face to Face ).

i suggest looking for dell coupons on ebay, not the ones that are available for free - but something like 35-40% off and see how much those are. if you decide to buy directly from dell you might wanna use fatwallet.com - that way you might offset coupon purchase.

I bought my E1705 on Ebay and everything turned out fine.. except for the fact that it took the seller one month to ship the laptop . Make sure that he is a power seller or has high positive feedback. I personally hated my seller, shipping delays and such but he blamed it on UPS, BULL****!
