Hi all. Stopping in NY next Monday for a shopping spree, courtesy of the exchange rate 'discount' us europeans can get. Is there any store where I can buy a couple of Dell laptops? Ordering through web site now means they might not arrive on time... plus I rather hold them in my hand, play with them before choosing which models I want. Is there any store that carries Dell in NY?

    Thanks all!

Wal Mart doesn't have any stores in New York though. They're too big to fit, and New Yorkers don't like Wal Mart. There's really no easy way to buy a Dell laptop in a store.

Yes, Walmart does have stores in New York, though not in NYC proper. There are plenty of Wal Marts on Long Island, which is typically a 40 minute or so commuter rail distance away, depending on where you're going.

Oh well, that's dell model. Yeah I will check the M1330 online, but... I rather handle a laptop for a few mins before buying... its how I am!

you also have to remember your warrenty...you have a warrenty in the us if its bought here, but a warrenty in spain if its bought there. if you ever needed it repaired, you would have to bring it back to the states...

Warranty for most global notebook companies is global - your laptop is supported wherever you are. Such is the case with Asus, Sony, even for cameras.... Dell I assume (but havent checked!) its the same.
