Canada does not have the big discount coupons like the ones seen in the USA. Here is what you can try.

1- Visit the Dell.ca website and create an account and create an order for a system of your choice. When you get to the screen with the "checkout" button you will be able to save your system information. You will see a link "Move Item to My Saved Items". Use the link and save the information.

2- Call the 1-800 dell number and tell customer rep that you are Canadian and you would like them to honour the $750 USA discount here in Canada on the purchase of a system. The customer rep will likely ask you to go through and describe the system you want. This is where the saved item comes in handy. Read the specs from the saved item screen. At this time hopefully the customer rep is offering you a better deal then the website order. Ask the customer rep to send you the quote via email. Tell him/her you need time to think about it.

3- After 1 or 2 days, re-open the system description that you saved and add the system to your shopping cart. You should be able to see a link that says "email cart". Email the cart to the customer rep that sent you the quote from the phone order. You will be able to attach a note to the email. In that note you submit an offer to Dell with a low price to buy the system.

4- Within an hour your phone should be ringing and hopefully the customer rep will accept your offer or make you a counter offer.

It worked for me. I didn't get $750 off but I did get $550 off an I6000.

    Good luck
