It is possible to order a laptop on Dell US Website when you are located in an other country (in france in my case)?
Have you already ordered your DELL laptop in a different country than yours?

I hate having a French OS and a French keyboard layout.

I doubt that Dell US will send it to France.

Better look at Ebay (US or UK) or look for an agency that can send it to you.

Yes you can, and like the above poster said, look for an agency that can send it to you.

I live in Honduras, and I ordered from Dell USA. got it sent to family over there, and they shipped it over here :)

    Customer Service?

Just transfer my order to dell latinamerica, much easier...
BUT, I'm still under coverage from dell USA...

Keep in mind that if your laptop is manufactured in the US and you have someone to ship to you in France, you would have to take the full 3 year warranty to keep the laptop covered. The one year warranty wont be valid in france

So if I understand you, Dell US won't ship the laptop that you ordered to your home country, only within the US. I do not have relatives, leaving in the US. Going though an agency seems to complicate for me, I will forget the idea buy a PC in the US (I am based in Paris).

I have called Dell this week, and although the order for their PC only mentioned French keyboard and French OS, they told me it is possible to order the PC by phone and ask for a US keyboard and an English Windows Vista.

Have you ever tried to buy a Dell laptop in a different country than yours ? I mean, can I buy a laptop in Germany and have it send to France. I am asking this, because I have noticed that on Dell Web sites, there is often discounts in one country and not in another.
