    I would like to buy a motherboard for my Inspiron 1520 - the one with the Nvidia card. I understand this costs more but I want it anyway.

    Oh I'm expecting to pay. Do I have to be Dell certified or something to use that dell site

    After looking at service manuals for the 1720, they look very similar - size and mounting wise.

    Update! I just bought the motherboard I need on ebay for $75 shipped. Hopefully everything will work for me now!

    I think I'll end up with a pretty decent gaming rig.
