I am currently in the hunt for a new computer and I have narrowed it down to either the Vostro 1400, Latitude D630, or possibly the XPS M1210. But I am really leaning to go with the Latitude D630, but I need to know a few things about it (D630):
When I built it online, it didn't say if a 10/100 Base - T Mini PCI Ethernet Adapter was iintegrated into it, but when I built others (Vostro and XPS), it was listed. So does this mean that the D630 does not have 10/100 integrated into it? (I know it is not a big deal, but it leaves me not having to buy one more thing or keeping track of another thing)
Obviously, the Quadro NVS 135M isn't high end, but I would like something that can play Flight Simulator X on medium settings (I am not into high intensity game playing). From my questions on this forum and others, I am told this card will do it quite fine.
If you are a past or current user of the D630, how do you like it? Also, have you managed to try or have the XPS M1210 (or another XPS model)?
For XPS M1210 owners, how durable is this notebook, in terms of build quality and battery life? If you owned a Latitude, which do you like better and why?
I would consider the Vostro, but it simply won't arrive by the time college starts, so I guess that leaves me with the D630 or XPS M1210.
Thank-you for replies!

Why not the D430 then? It's also a 12" but from the Latitude line. Whether or not you'll get it before school is an issue however.
You might consider the XPS M1330 instead of the XPS M1210 also - it's tons better, and the screen size is closer to the D630's.
In any case, for a business laptop, take the D630. That's what it's designed for, and it serves that purpose quite well. -
I think the Latitudes have gigabit ethernet, don't they? Check the product page, tech specs. You might have to check the pdf spec sheet.
