Once in a while the track pad on this thing will go buggy on me... as in if i hold my finger on it, even still, the cursor will twitch up, down, left, and right real quickly, making it near impossible to use. This happens sometimes, not all the time (about 50/50). Just wondering if this is a common problem, and if it may be a software issue?

Try using it disconnected from the internet and also from power. I had the issue with specific internet connections aswell as with dirty power from the outlet with my Vostro 1500. Hope that helps.

Sorry I took so long to respond. I changed the outlet and it seems to be working now... but why was it doing that on my power bar.... and can I get a repair, or is this just normal?
