    Brightness of Screen

    Received my new 1520 and it looks good but when I unplug the power outlet
    the brightness kind of fades away. Is this normal?

    Yup...That's normal. Most have that "automatic dimming" feature built in to save battery life. You can adjust the brightness back up when your laptop is running on battery--downside to that is that your battery will drain faster.

    You cn change this by right clicking the battery in the task bar, and changing pwer options
