I was wondering how else to move up the brightness besides hitting the Fn + up arrow to increase the brightness. Its at the max right now. Also laptop recently doing this weird click noise every couple of minutes. Its not really loud but noticeable when im surfing. Sounds just like a click. dont know what it is.

It's up to the manufacturer to include hardware or software to allow you to adjust screen brightness. Microsoft does not put this in the OS because they cannot assume a screen can be adjusted for brightness...it's really part of the hardware configuration. Therefore, any shortcut the manufacturer gives you to adjust brightness will be the quickest way to manage this. Sometimes, as is the case with IBM, there's a graphical user interface program that allows me to adjust the screen brightness, but it just depends on the notebook as to whether they provide a software program to configure such settings or just make it look like it's a TV style control on the screen. With a Dell, I believe you'll just get the typical green bars that can be toggled using your Fn key + up/down arrows.

actually i found the solution. Right click desktop, properties, settings, then go to your graphics settings, then go to color and it will have a brightness, gamma, and other options setting.

As for the clicking noise...it may be coming from your harddrive. Sometimes hard disks can make a clicking noise from time to time as it's being accessed.
Just keep an eye(or ear) on the noise for any changes.
Any luck with Halo? -
In general, Halo has had a lot of problems even with high end computers, but that's good UT worked since it's a fairly intensive game.
Just keep an eye out on Intel's website for driver updates because Dell takes forever to post new ones. As I said earlier, Intel tries their best to make most games compatible. -
ya i was guessing it was the hard drive. As for halo the fps isnt that great, but for UT2k4 it ran just fine and i know it has a higher system requirement, so i guess Halo just insnt compatible with Intel on PCs
