Hi people, I've recently bought new Dell XPS 15 9570 with fhd screen in uk and it runs as a charm, little loud when under load, but perfect otherwise.

Anyways the reason why I'm writing is that 3 days after it arrived I spotted a bright purple pixel on the screen. I ran the screen test and made sure it's just this one and it is. Normaly I wouldn't care, but I work in cc cloud a lot, so I'm staring at white canvases a lot as well and now I can't unsee it haha.

I understand that there would have to be more than 3 bright pixels to be able to use the warranty or exchange according to their policy. Do you think I could make it go away with all those wet cloth voodoo tricks I read about on the internet, or some software fix? What's your opinion, am I just over reacting?

Have you tried running one of the stuck pixel videos on youtube? Basically it just changes the colors of the pixels and sometimes can "unstick" them. Give it a shot since it's worked for me before.

custom90gt: I let the http://www.jscreenfix.com/ run for almost 3 days straight with no result. So I called to Dell and demanded an exchange.

Felt really dumb, just because of one tiny pixel, but hey, if I knew I'm getting a unit with a stuck pixel I d go for the refurbished system and saved some money. The whole point of me buying a brand new one was not risking such defects.

They even tried talk me into just replacing the screen with a refurbished screen that it would be 5 days faster hahaha, not on my watch. I paid for a brand new flawless machine, so that's what i'm getting. So lucky that I spotted that little bastard in the first 30 days period.

PS: I even considered if I dont want to refund it fully and get a laptop that has quiter fans during gaming, but I like the design of the thing too much and it's absouletly quiet in all Adobe programs, even when rendering videos in After Effects or Premier, so I ll just keep it :3 . Headset sorts that problem out haha.

I don't blame you for exchanging it, I would have done the same thing. Even though it's tiny, that's what I would focus my attention on.
