Hi friends. I got a neww dell vostro on friday. I installed gta san andreas(i don,t know if its compatible with windows vista). When i played it, the 1440 * 900 screen was playing greenish in colour with all settings set to max. However, when i dropped it to one sreen resolution below (It was 1280*1024), it played well. Do you think its the grainy screen problem or does it have something to do with my graphics card? Please tell me.. i,m very worried.... :(

NO, it is not the "grainy screen" issue you see all over this forum . That problem is related to quality of the LCD. Nothing to do with the graphics performance nor any greenish output. Sorry, I cant help you more with regard to your actual problem. The only thing I can say is try updating your gfx card drivers.

I'm sure its just an issue with the game. Have you checked rockstar's site for patches for the game?

hi friends.i resigned myself to playing the game with the 1024*1280 resolution but i recently installed splinter cell pandora tomorrow and the same problem occured, that is, the graphics became greenish at 1440*900. the splinter cell has a built in game configurator and diagnosis. i got an errror saying that "no non-power-of-two render target supported"....what's this now??what the hell is going on with my laptop??? :(
