Hi there...
i have a m1330 but this question is more general I think...
Well, I have just 2usb on this laptop so, I was wondering if I can get a bluetooth mouse and use another device at the same time. i.e. I'm using bluetooth ATM to sync contacts and everything else with my mobile, and I'm planing to reduce the wires and leave a USB free for other things so I'm planning to get a mouse to work together with my mobile. Is this bluetooth something like "bluetooch router" that allow me use XX devices at the same time?
If im able to use more then one device at the same time which bluetooth mouse do you recommend??
PS:
1- I'm clumsy so it must have a good quality cuz it gonna fell down many times lol
2- rechargeable (id like to charge through the usb though)
3- back and forward buttons is a bonus
Cheers Beto

I'm not a master of Bluetooth, but my Bluetooth mouse came with an installation disc that sort of regulates it. In other words, the Bluetooth in your laptop allows the connection but the software controls the device. So you can have a number of Bluetooth devices go through your laptop without a "router."

P.S. Bluetooth devices don't commonly charge through the USB because that's the point. They're wireless. They don't plug into anything. Perhaps one exception is Microsoft's Bluetooth mouse, but that's ultra-expensive and it drops into a USB-connected charger. If you want to check it out, it's on Microsoft's page.

Your bluetooth client software will allow you to connect multiple devices to your system. I current have a bluetooth mouse, my PDA phone, and my wireless bluetooth headset all running through the bluetooth module on my laptop. As kamehame said, you can't really charge your bluetooth devices via bluetooth however. To resolve your issue, certian bluetooth mice like the Logitech MX1000 bluetooth version or even the Logitech MX Revolution (I think) have charging cradles that come with the mouse.

I think the Revolution is a USB laser mouse, but I could be wrong.

Here's a question: if you have a Bluetooth mouse and two Bluetooth-enabled computers, can you get it to only be "sensed" by one? Or what?
-
Yes. pairing with a mouse works one at a time. In other words your mouses Mac address is "paired" with latop A. Next you pair it with laptop B. Its going to stay paired to laptop B until you re-pair with laptop A. I do have some devices that allow multiple pairings but will only connect to one at a time.
