I am about to order my D620, and I have to make some decisions. One is to go with the WXGA+ because I am hearing that it is brighter and crisper, but I am afraid of the smaller resolution. Second is the wireless card; Intel verses Dell, but I really do not need/want 802.11a (I think it might increase the power usage). But the biggest one that I am wondering about is whether I should Bluetooth it.

I currently do not have any bluetooth devices to connect to, but I could see getting a wireless keyboard and mouse if it made sense. But what I am worried about is a) whether it will consume extra power, b) whether it will interfer with my 802.11g, and c) whether I will be Bluejacked (if that is even possible on a laptop).

    Any guidance would be appreciated,

    Mark

Resolution is very good. I don't know about brighter since there is no comparison between apples. I can say that the screen brightness is equivalent to my Dell i6000 (now my 5 year old's) which ratings here have been equated to being 'dim' by industry standards.

From my understanding, it will consume minimal power, no interference with WIFI, and there are 'bluetooth' highjackers that can access cellular phones. I don't think a laptop would be affected since most people run firewalls and privacy software.

I didn't opt for bluetooth since I am happy with the pointing stick and mousepad.

Wireless USB mice exist but I feel the battery life and carrying an additional accessory (mouse) is not worth the weight.

I was in the same dilema with the bluetooth, because I didn't have any blutooth devices at the time. Bluetooth devices are expensive man!! maybe when they're at the same range of other devices it'll be time to switch laptop don't you think!!
Well if you change your mind usb bluetooth isn't expensive

I have Bluetooth installed after I got my Latitude D610. Its almost as easy as install memory. The good thing about internal Bluetooth is it saves you 1 USB port. Plus you get the cool blue light from the built-in indicator.

I know most of the Bluetooth devices are relatively expensive now. But give BT mouse a try. You would fall in love with it.

I am using BT to download pics from my cellphone (Sony Ericsson T630), and it does not interfere with wifi. I wanted to get internal BT to keep options open for other devices as well (mouse as mentioned here).
