    Bluetooth driver for notebook Dell Inspiron 1525 with WindowsXP?

    I am using Dell Inspiron 1525. Orginally, it had Windows Vista Home Basic, and bluetooth device was working fine.

    Now, I have replaced with Windows XP (SP3). Also, I downloaded driver for bluetooth from dell support. I tried to install it, but error occurred saying the driver is for Vista.

    I didn't get any driver compatible for Windows XP. Where can I get Windows XP compatible bluetooth driver from? Or, s it so, we can't use bluetooth in Windows Xp??

    The difference in bluetooth support between XP and Vista is night and day...

    Have a Dell Latitude D620 notebook that still has XP Pro on it and decided to throw a spare Dell Wireless 370 bluetooth Mini-PCIe into the unused slot.

    Downloaded and installed the above 5.5.0.4300 since it supports the Bluetooth 2.1 with Enhanced Data Rate. Got the bluetooth stereo headset to work but XP forces you to reanble the bluetooth connection after each reboot whereas Vista does not...

    Which particular model do you have? I know the Dell Wireless 355 has an XP driver available from the 1520 page; newer models may as well as I think Dell did keep updating the Bluetooth module to newer versions on the 1520. It may also be a universal Dell Wireless XP driver on the 1520 page that works with all Dell Bluetooth modules of late - been awhile since I installed it but it's certainly worth a look.

    I'd actually recommend having Bluetooth off by default after startup for battery-life purposes, but that's a matter of personal choice - if you use if for an external keyboard or mouse that's obviously less preferable.

    All Windows Xp Drivers for Dell Inspiron 1525

    Hey guys !
    I had the same problem of finding the right drivers for my Dell 1525 laptop when I installed Windows Xp. So I collected all the correct drivers for Windows Xp, tried and tested them and then uploaded them so that no one would have to waste their precious time finding all the drivers like i did.

    The drivers are packed in 3 files , download all of them and then don't forget to read the readme.txt for instructions.
