I just want to check something; does your Bluetooth light come on for a couple of seconds when you first boot up your laptop (during Dell splash screen)?

I assume it's the BIOS doing a check. I've got a 6400/E1505 if it makes any difference.

    Thank you in advance. :)

Yes mine comes on too, its prob just a boot up check, since in Bios you DO have it enabled. Once going toward Windows, it will check hardware setting if you have the switch on or off.

My bluetooth light lights up and stays lit up whenever I start the computer, and after I log in. Is this normal? if not, how do I fix it?

Your BT will stay lit along with the Wifi assuming you have both of them installed.

To turn BOTH off you hit FN+F2

I installed something that went wrong and had to do a restore, so wasn't sure if it was an effect of that as I hadn't really noticed it before.

Thanks for putting my mind at rest.
