    Blue Screen of Death after windows update and restart

    Hi guys, I have a problem with my studio 1525, whenever I run windows update and try to restart after, i get a blue screen of death, the i have to run recovery manager to get running again.

    Sounds like some sort of software or driver conflict. Unless you can figure out exactly what's causing it, your best bet is probably to backup all your important data, and reinstall Windows from scratch.

    First of all, is this an Inspiron 1525 or a Studio 1535? A Studio 1525 doesn't exist...

    Of course, that's irrelevant to the problem at hand. Windows Update seems to be breaking a lot of factory installations these days; if you're using a factory installation, I'd definitely do the clean install as Mastershroom suggested. You should wipe the factory installation even if it doesn't break anything.

    If you're using a clean, or relatively clean install, you might actually have to get down to messing with the drivers and looking for conflicts (since another clean install will probably give the same result(s)). You can also try installing updates individually or not install them at all?
