    Blue Screen Error ??? HELP PLEASE!

    A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

    If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps :

    Check for viruses on your computer. Remove any newly installed hard drives or hard drive controllers. Check your hard drive to make sure it is properly configured and terminated. Run CHKDSK /F to check for hard drive corruption, and then restart your computer.

    THIS IS WHAT I'M GETTING WHEN I'M TRYING TO INSTALL WINDOWS ON MY LAPTOP.
    MY LAPTOP JUST HAD A NEW HARD DISK DRIVE INSTALLED ON IT SO, IT HAS NO OS INSTALLED ON IT AS OF NOW. I'VE TRIED INSTALLING WINDOWS 7 AND EVEN XP BUT NO LUCK. PLEASE HELP ME TO GET THIS FIXED!! I HAVE GOT SOME IMPORTANT ASSIGNMENTS TO BE DONE. :(

    Please don't use BIG LETTERS because this won't give you help faster, so ease off the caps lock.
    Have you formated the hdd before installing?
    Have you tried changing to ide in bios prior to installing?

    Looks like hard drive issue that comes with device drivers. Do a clean reinstall of the OS, just to be 100% sure.
