Okay well I want bluray on the 1520 but the highest resolution is 1680X1050 which is lower than 1080P, how will movies look if I pop in a bluray and play it in full screen? Will it scale down and have jaggies? Will it extend beyond the screen and be unviewable? Whats the point of watching a bluray at anything lower that 1080P? Let alone 1280X720 or whatever is the lowest res option?

wouldnt there be a possibility that it wont read the 1050 and just automatically scale down to 720p?

blueray can do some wonderful things.

the downscaleing is probably a sinch and it would look wonderful running at 720p.

I watch the matrix on my freinds blue ray player and it UPSCALED it to 720p maybe higher.
