    Hi everyone,

I just got my gorgeous XPS 1645 :) Primarily, I'll be doing HD video editing (yeah, can't wait to get started!)

So, anyone cares to recommend what pre-installed stuff should I keep, and what can be safely deleted?

My specs are below. Again, I'm looking to optimize it for HD video editing. Except for Scrabble, I don't really play any games.

    Thanks in advance!

    For what it's worth:
I just got an Inspiron 1440 and ditched everything. After replacing the original HDD with a new one, I clean-installed Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit and didn't install anything from Dell except the touchpad driver. Everything works and it really flies. The number of processes running was cut by more than half and it's noticeably faster.

    Wow that's cool.
I have been browsing Dell online and the customization features they have and really wish they had more remove options incl stuff like Works and McAfee trial software as well as some of the bloatware referred to here.
