My m1330 goes to a blank black screen with a blinking cursor when I try to boot up. During the blank screen, there is no keyboard response. If I turn the notebook off and turn it back on again, the bootup seems fine but extremely slow during the bios reading and then Vista boots back up to the Welcome screen. What is going on here?

    1. Is the unit brand new and was it work ok before?
    2. Is it still standard Dell setup?
    3. Have you used the PC on the net?
    4. Have you done any Vista updates?
    5. If possible update your anti virus and run a deep virus scan.
    6. You could try restore point and setting back to a time you know it was working ok.

Video card drivers which one are you using?
