I'd prefer Black but I read the black coating rubs off or something.

Also is the 1900x100 worth £60 ($120) more than the 1440x900(Which was a £20/$40 increase on the smaller one).

Some great discounts have come up today and these are the last 2 things I need to decide.

    Thanks!

Thats... totally not true. The black doesn't "rub off". Where in the world did you hear that from?

I read somewhere that it fades or rubs off or something. I can't remember exactly.

I just remember someone saying they went for Blue because something bad happens to the Tuxedo Black.

I thought it was a bit strange myself.

Your Black one is totally fine?

Any color on an artificial black grade spectrum fades over time. This is because black uses the least coating of any color. In the case of Microsatin, blacks will still fade, however the resistance to fading is increasingly more significant in addition to other things.

Personally, I think the blue look is a lot better anyway.

I like how the black matches the trim around the screen on the inside and it seems to fit in well in any setting. I think the blue would as well and even though I couldnt get it with an LED screen I would have loved the red as well :)

and dont let nushi scare you....despite that explanation I wouldnt expect to see the black fade very much over the life of the notebook for you lol. 5+ years from now? maybe a little but even still....

    Blue!

1900 1200 res might be worth it if your into photoshop, 3dmax , editing programs basically.

If you are just doing casual gaming, surfing then 1400 900 resolution should be fine for ya.

Its too bad Dell doesnt offer LED option for the 1400 900.

    Thanks everyone!

I went for Black. One big reason is I hate Inter Milan (football/soccer) so I wouldn't want a blue/black colour scheme.

I've also gone for the 1440x900 as the GPU wouldn't be ale to play games at 1900x1200 anyway and the downscaling might look dodgy. Plus I haven't really got the extra money to waste.

    cheers

If only all of life's choices were like this...with no wrong answer. :)

I got the blue. It's a lot darker than the graphics on Dell's site would suggest. When I first pulled it out, I thought they'd screwed up and sent me black. For what it's worth, it's dark enough that you'd not have to worry about it looking "unprofessional" in the board room, the way Flamingo Pink might.

That is why I went with Blue. On Dell's site it looks washed out but I saw a few real pictures and it was much darker (not a true midnight blue, but darker). So I thought I'd give it a try.
