I bought two of the keyboards for $26 shipped on ebay. I got the one on my 1420 and soon I'll be getting the one on my 1520.

I don't know which manufacturer this is, but this black keyboard is MUCH better than the one on my 1420 and 100000x better than the one on my 1520.

I ended up loosing one keyboard screw :/

Excuse the poor quality of the photos, I got something on the lens of my camera and it wont come off.

    Pictures!

It looks nice! How is the feel compared to the original keyboard?

Compared to the 1420 keyboard that came with the laptop, it is much firmer. And the 1520 keyboard, even moreso.

Looking at them I think the black keyboards are manufactured by Sunrex and the 1420 keyboard is Darfon. I'll check the 1520 manufacturer

The problem with black keyboard is that after a while, they are worn out - like shiny surface for the most used keys. With silver keyboard, I haven't noticed any yet.

Nice job! The black keyboard looks better than the original grey that Dell uses on them.

I think its super duper. Nice job. Shiny don' matter to me either, sometimes broken on is nice.

Yup, had that problem with my thinkpad. If one is OCD enough, they can move the keys around as they wear to get even wear.

I think it goes along well with the matte screen and vista

Nice work, really sets off the 1420, very distinctive!

    I like it.
