I've returned three M1530s so far for grainy SEC screens. Just got my fourth M1530. Turned it on and checked and it's a SEC screen ...but apparently it's one of the three SECs that aren't grainy!! Of course, I'm a little sleep-deprived right now, so I may be off my rocker. I'm going to investigate it for a few days to make sure I'm OK with it. I just looked at a few pictures with it and it seems much improved. There's also practically zero bleed and excellent viewing angle. Pretty sweet. :p

WSXGA+. The one that is notorious for SEC graininess, which is why I don't quite believe my eyes! :D

My screen is like the Voltron of SEC screens. Separately, the screens were weak and pathetic. But they took all of the returned screens and slammed them together into one super-powered screen. And all it took was an extra $2 million in shipping and handling fees! Take that!

The grain bothered me when I first got the computer, but no longer does. The picture to everyone and me looks amazing. If I hadn't have come here I never would have even known about the issue since this seems to be one of the few places that actually talk about it.

Its the same as the issue with the AUO 1440x900 screens in the 1520s half a year ago. Everyone said all AUOs are grainy, but mine is not.

If you know that the wxga+ screens are prone to be grainy then why would you choose it?
