Better to buy BEFORE or AFTER X-MAS ???

I'm looking to purchase either a 1420 or 1520 for about $800. With the $200 off coupon they've got going on right now, I can manage this.

But I'm wondering:

Is this as good as its going to get - will the coupon deals be better NOW (and hence should purchase now) or would they probably be better AFTER christmas and I should just wait ??

just buy it now... if there's a better deal after you can just cancel the order or return (no penalty if you ask for a return within 30 days of getting it)

you might end up saving the time to reorder too since they might give you an cash coupon to keep it....

 

Depends. Like in Canada (and most former UK colonies), the big shopping day of the year is December 26th, Boxing Day. That's when everything is cheap. Like Black Friday for USA.

 

dell wont have great sales again until feburary or march time. so if you can wait until then, you can get probably a better deal than now. but if you want it in january, you should probably order now.

 

You need to buy before XMas, otherwise my present will arrive late! Oh, and my preference is the smaller machine. Thanks for asking.

Most likely, though, Sam is right. The day after XMas will probably be a great sales day.

 

I have read this statement many a times in this forum as well in many others...I havnt ordered anything from DELL till date but planning to buy Inspiron 1420..just waiting for a good Deal

My question is that once we pay the amount online...what exactly happen if we cancel the order...and reorder again ??

Like suppose I order a 1420 today with a 300$ coupon and after 3 days if a 400$ coupon comes up, and then i cancel my order and order again...do i need to pay anything extra or i will be saving a full $100(ignoring price changes by dell)

 

nope you don't pay nothing extra. your card wont even be charged until it ships. infact, you have 21 days AFTER you get it in your hands that still if a better deal comes up you can return it.
