I am looking to buy the 1720 notebook, and as of right now they have an instant savings of $434. Do these deals get even better after the holidays, or is now prime time to purchase a notebook?

but their instant savings vary. Dell's coupons range from $200-$500. I got my inspiron 9300 will a $700 coupon 2 years ago. Of course there are better deals after Christmas. Manufactures have to increase incentives to make up for the decrease sales after Christmas.

I think it's a good time to buy one.

I noticed AAFES price on M330 starts at 899 bucks(I may be wrong on this though, I checked it last night) which was lowest I've seen on the site.

I would also check out Delloutet. There are so many M1330 returned there, and the price is great.

I think I remember the prices going up a littile last year after xmas. You could go back through the thread of "i got a new dell" during that time last year and see if anyone posted prices just to get a comparison

Now would be an excellent time. I recently ordered my 1520 for under $750 (excluding tax). The coupons on this site really helped. Plus, you get a free gift card, the amount of which increases varying on your purchase.
