I have a 9300 and didn't reformat after I got it. I uninstalled most of the junkware and now have programs on it that I need to keep on there and don't wanna mess with reformatting. My question is, there are around 45 processes always running, which of the processes are essential and how do I shorten this list so that I get more performance. I have the 2 ghz Centrino, 1 gb ram, and XP. Anyone with any ideas? I just don't think that many processes should be running.

by doing a clean install of windows on a reformatted drive, then go to dellsite and reinstall whatever programs that you want.

Might want to download the drivers first.
