This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     My wife runs a Latitude 620 with the 1490 Dell/Broadcom Wireless mini-card.

    It's been a real pita; I finally have it working at home with enough security features enabled, and I had it working at her office but it seems to quit after a couple of days. We've tried a couple of different wireless routers and it seems this card is the only constant.

    So what's the 'best' card for the money right now? (I suspect Dell isn't the most affordable place to buy it) Is it something I can install myself?
