    Best place to buy a dell?

    I am looking to buy a maxed out Dell XPS M1530. I live in Singapore where the prices are marked up by a bit and i need to pay the tax aswell. I will be however be going to the US for my studies around August. Cost wise and spec wise (max 2.5 ghz here) I will be looking to buy the machine in the states but what about delivery times and getting it in time for college. I will be reaching ~7th august, the classes start 25th.

    What do u guys suggest?

    BTW.. its around $2700SGD for a maxed out from US store (3yr Warranty)
    and its around $3100SGD nearly maxed out one from here with a 3yr warranty

    I would get it online because im not sure if the ones that are sold in computer stores you can have them maxed out so i would buy online and besides u get great discounts online these days.

    check your school (and delluniversity.com), my school says that they'll hold the laptop for me if i order it in US and deliver to the school in end-august

    dell.com/epp (for college students), gives me a M1530 speced out for US$1500, thats about $2300 SGD

    theres currently a battery shortage for all laptops, M1530+9-cell ordered NOW should give u 7/15 as a EST delivery date pending no other delays

    the 6 cell is a 7/15 delivery but the 9 cell is now pushing into august, order now regardless which one you want,as the battery shortage isn't getting significantly better.
