I have one of the older Studio 15 laptops (aka the 1535) and the battery I'm using now barely lasts an hour and Windows 7 is giving me a notification saying that I should "consider replacing my battery."

Where would be the best place to buy a new one?

eBay. You'll pay a lot less than Dell's own hyper-inflated prices, and you'll get a battery that is fully compatible, safe, and performs just as well as the original. When I had a 1535, I bought a Chinese knockoff 9-cell battery from eBay for $60 (compared to Dell's $140) and got 4 hours of life out of it. It worked perfectly till the day I traded it in for a 1555.

In China, theres usually a big factory licenced and making the batteries for DELL and HP. And Next to it theres a smaller factory making the same exact batteries, giving kick backs to the Government, and usually making better quality ones. Since if they screw up, workers know theres no HP or DELL to help them or back them up. You either get fired jailed or worse.
