    ok i got a refurb dell inspiron e1505. initial price was 789 comes with t2300 core duo, x1400, wsxga+, 100 gig hd, 512 ram, dvd burner, 1 yr waranty, SB audigy

    anyways...make a long story short, they messed up my order and took them forever to ship. They then gave me a free all in 1 printer. I waited more still no ship. They took off 100 bucks on the spot to make it $689.00 (i am tax exempt thru my dad's work) and once again no ship...so they cancelled my order this morning and put in a new order with the following

    T2300 1.66 --> T2500 Core duo 2.0Ghz
    512 ram --> 2x 512 ram
    100 gig hd --> 120 gig HD
    1 yr --> 2 yr limited waranty
    Rest of the specs were the same

    for free...so still paying 689.00... i think this is a steal even if it is a refurb. with a free all in 1 printer lol.

    honestly they are realllllly nice people...and love giving discounts if they think you aren't satisfied. I was satisfied but they were like we're gonna credit you back 100 dollars for your inconvience. i didn't object.

    instead of them putting in a t2500 you should have them put in a t7200 core 2 duo and pay for the difference, it shouldn't be much since both processors are equally valued in todays market... call and ask about that...

    i'd say don't look a gift horse in the mouth. if you are getting this deal through Customer Service I know for a fact that they will be unable to do anything about it. they are not authorized to make changes to the hardware of an order. only change the price and give coupons.

    I know that for a fact...I've tried.

    That sounds impossible to get that deals. I complained to dell many times about my blue screen notebook and they didn't give me a coupon or any discount.

    lol apparently they didn't upgrade my machine. What really happened was they told me they had the system, but they didn't. I was on the "shipping prep" status for 8 days. I was like what gives. This really nice guy informed me that they didn't actually have that system on hand. So they couldn't ship it...duh...so what he did was pick out a system about 200-300 over the price that I was looking at, then furthermore the actual managers picked me out a system around 300-400 over the price I was looking at..which is the system I mentioned above. (t2500, 1gig ram, 120gig hd, x1400, wsxga+) My order confirmation was 999.00 which just means they picked out a more expensive refurbished system, then +180 something for 2 year waranty then -460 something credit. I just got really really lucky somehow!

    Awesome. Nice deal.

    Dell just kind of slapped me around with crappy service and not getting my notebook orderd....untill I gave up on them and bought a MacBook.

    ya the wait times are sometimes horrendous for dell, but once you speak to someone they really do try to get your satisfaction. From my experience atleast. But i just wanted the best bang for the buck and somehow ended up with too good of bang for my buck but i ain't complainin
