What's the best RAM score anyone has gotten? Mine is 4.8 Vista experience score with 3GB of RAM and that brings the whole score down.

Anyone got any better with 4GB (3.5GB)?

You know what, 2GB also has a 4.8...I would rather say the score depends on the frequency of the ram. e.g. 667MHz vs. 800MHz etc

the sticks have to be symmetrical to run in dual channel bandwith

so it doesnt according to alexzeon :

    Hyundai Electronics 2GB
    Nanya Technology 1GB

    therefore 3GB is useless
    i would rather get 2GB or 4GB

So to run in Dual Channel I need 4 GB. Will it be faster?

4.8 score with 2x2 667 OCZ ram. Seems like the frequency is all it cares about.

    I also get 4.8 with 2x1GB 667MHz

I wouldn't call it useless. Despite dual channel configuration, having 3GB is still better than 2GB (overall performance especially under Vista). Besides, there is something called asymmetric dual channel mode (supported by GM965, and some previous models as well), which let you run uneven pair of RAM modules in a special dual channel mode. Performance is lower compared to symmetric (interleaved) dual channel, but better than single channel.

    Hmmm that sucks.

Phoenix, how do I go about putting it in asymmetrical dual channel mode?
