I need help with customizing my Dell Studio 17 laptop lid. I have narrowed the color options to 4, and need your opinions of what color stands out the best. I want it to look great with the laptop itself. I am mostly tied between Ruby Red and Tangerine Orange.
Options are:
a.) Jet Black
b.) Midnight Blue
c.) Ruby Red
d.) Tangerine Orange
If you have pictures, please post them so I and many others can know what each color really looks like.

You should get whatever color you like best. Its your notebook, not this forums. Just get whatever will make you happiest
Theres pictures of all of those colors floating around here somewhere. -

Yeah, you really should just pick a color that you feel stands out best. But hey, since you're asking I'll put my opinion in.
Personally, if I had gotten a Studio, I would have picked Plum Purple. But since that's not an option, I like the Tangerine Orange. -
I ask because I have literally spent hours agonizing about what of the 4 colors to get. So at this point, I need the help...

theres pics of orange in there(it's a Studio 15, not 17), i would have regret any other color.
pictures don't do it justice -
lotta221211, I noticed in your sig. that you have 4GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 RAM, are you using Windows 64-bit or 32-bit, and if 32-bit with 4GB RAM, does it improve notebook performance?
Also, on topic to this thread, WHY the Tangerine Orange? I have never seen it in person but I think a good second name would be "Pumpkin Spice" . -
You can't go wrong with Jet Black. That is what my Studio 15 is. I would give consideration to the Blue as well. Though the Orange does look slick and so does the Red. Now I know why you are having trouble picking one!

Yes, haha, the Ruby Red and Tangerine Orange are really tying me up, I just don't know which one to choose.
Basically, I want the color to stand out, I want it calming, and I want it to blend in with my light cream brown desk, white walls, etc...
Is Ruby Red too much....?
Lol, I need help. I know most of the time I wont see the back of my laptop and this is kind of a minor thing to a laptop, but for me at least, it means and says a lot. -
If you are looking for a color that will blend than red or orange might be a little too "bright" for you. I think going with black or blue might be better as they are darker colors and will blend in better.

Hey, I have the red on my 1530...love it! Will also be getting that on my impending purchase of the Mini I when it's released....
But, I really like that Tangerine Orange color..It's sweet
However, you need to order what you color you like best..what suits *you*
Try lining up the 2 colors you like best to each other, and see which one your *eye* directs to the most...the one that you might like the best!
I always do that with artwork when I am torn between 2 prints or something
Good luck!

I got the Tangerine Orange on my laptop. i think it looks the best.
-
orange...
nice warm happy contrast..
but go with what you can live with.. -
I bought the Graphite Grey but if I had to pick a color then Midnight Blue.
-
I got my 1420 in Ruby Red but the Orange looks really sharp. Tough call , but I really like the Red. Good Luck which ever way you go
-
My replacement Studio 15 is coming in Ruby Red. I think it will look pretty decent.
-
what's your favorite color?
do you want your laptop to stand out?
If you want it to stand out, go for Tangerine Orange. If not, blue or red ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a1wY_htYDXo).
Why isn't there a dark green -
Check the owners thread in my sig, there's links to a few colours
-
Midnight Blue or Black for me..because its a 17 inch and darker shades make it look smaller..If it were a Studio 15, then nothing beats the Tangerine Orange..Great shade
