I dont think the larger screen will be as good as the LED backlit one... it looked SOOO Beautiful... definitely more power... But not as much as you think.... 8400gs/gt CAN play crysis on low/med at 30fps... just look on youtube...

And xps1330 is up to 2.2ghz c2d right?

Anyways... 13 inch is kinda "too little" in some ways... 15.4 is the perfect spot...

I actually believe in coming years 14 inch widescreen will dominate and 15.4 will become the new 17 inch... If technology and companies do the move...
Alienware already started it with 8800m gtx in a 15.4 incher... WOW...

I thought it was a great deal and just cancelled my order to get the extra $300.00 off so thanks for mentioning it. I know this may not be some peoples ideal computer, but it is a good deal for the price in my opinion. Here is what I got for $1100.00 dollars.

rickson... i think you made a mistake by paying dell for the extra ram. Best idea is to order with just 1 gb of ram. You can get 4gb of memory for about $100 if you look around. I would have used that money to get the T7500 processor, a bigger HD, etc...

    Just my thoughts.

I was looking for the dell deal plan or something similar, but was not certain which configuration and deal you are referring to.

I got the deal mentioned before but when I used the coupon it just took off the $200 giftcard, so that was a wash.

    Thanks, Brad

My mall has a stand with Dell XPS notebooks and huge ass TVs on display. They sell stuff there. The guys said that they ALWAYS give better deals then online - and it was true. They got me $300 off, then an additional $42 off + $200 gift card for getting the Dell Plan, then another $50 on top of that - pretty sick. This is what it looked like on my invoice (the extra $50 doesnt show up but it was given)

$100 off plus additional $200 off for orders $1499 and more! - $300.00

3% off on DellCare Value Bundle and a $200 Gift Card on system purchases $1499 and above! - $42.21

The coupon has now expired, but you will still get the $200 gift card in its place. It just means you will have to spend more $$ at Dell when the gift card comes.

....since my 1520 has the headphone issue, is seems like it would be worth just getting a refund and going with this offer because 500 off 1499+ for an XPS seems better than 400 off a 1299 inspiron

Well I got the giftcard from Dell for ordering the inspiron anyway, but I dont consider it a discount really since I dont have more that I had planned on buying from Dell. I will because otherwise the coupon would go to waste, but yeah.

Perhaps with new coupons on the 20th I will see, since my warranty will still be valid for 3 more days, but really I'm not sure it makes all that much of a difference. I'd be getting a better graphics card but lower screen resolution, paying about 100$ extra, and not getting a gift card. Oh well.

You can get a ton of stuff from the Dell store - like Xboxes and digital cameras!
