Meh, its not THAT great...
-
Awesome! But this laptop is not for me
-
Dude...Vista will run horribly with one gig of RAM, you should upgrade that.
-
As nice looking as the xps line is, 1280x800 ftl
-
Yea, I'm going to upgrade with (2x 2gb) ram. I was looking at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820208323. No way am I paying their price for ram.
-
its nto taking off 300 for me...
-
Did you configure the base price over $1499?
-
wow! nice!!!
But i'd rather pay double for m15x.... which will like drop kick xps1530 all the way forward to the junkyard -
Yea, I just canceled my 1520 after finding this out today.
-
It took 200 off for 1499+ but not 300 for me. And it said the coupon is invalid.
-
sorry, I got it to work, THANK YOU OP!!!, i just ordered a refurb m1330 for 1050 earlier in the day...traded portability and LED screen for a LOT more power and a larger screen...hope the tradeoff is worth it.
-
And xps1330 is up to 2.2ghz c2d right?
Anyways... 13 inch is kinda "too little" in some ways... 15.4 is the perfect spot...
I actually believe in coming years 14 inch widescreen will dominate and 15.4 will become the new 17 inch... If technology and companies do the move...
Alienware already started it with 8800m gtx in a 15.4 incher... WOW... -
i just took this deal...it was freaking amazing!!!
i got everything i needed plus more for 1100 taxed and overnight shipped!!
too bad i'll get it taken away as soon as i get it b/c i got a ****ing "B" in math... -
I'm glad I wasn't the only one who thought it was a good deal!
-
-
I thought it was a great deal and just cancelled my order to get the extra $300.00 off so thanks for mentioning it. I know this may not be some peoples ideal computer, but it is a good deal for the price in my opinion. Here is what I got for $1100.00 dollars.

rickson... i think you made a mistake by paying dell for the extra ram. Best idea is to order with just 1 gb of ram. You can get 4gb of memory for about $100 if you look around. I would have used that money to get the T7500 processor, a bigger HD, etc...
Just my thoughts. -
americanpierg, I liked how you got this out to slickdeals too.
-
Great deal - BUT....You should have got the Deal plan....I just ordered the exact same configuration as you but I got the three year warrnety! So I ended up paying $1314 .....but I got a $200 gift card! So it paid for itself
-
Got it to work but coupon expired for me.
-
-
I was looking for the dell deal plan or something similar, but was not certain which configuration and deal you are referring to.
I got the deal mentioned before but when I used the coupon it just took off the $200 giftcard, so that was a wash.
Thanks, Brad -
-
Yea, I myself wasn't able to get the $200 gift card, but regardless, since the coupon stacks, its like getting the $200 off instantly anyway.
-
$100 off plus additional $200 off for orders $1499 and more! - $300.00
3% off on DellCare Value Bundle and a $200 Gift Card on system purchases $1499 and above! - $42.21 -
Ooh, that's pretty cool. I'm pretty sure we have one but I never knew they have them.
-
I cant get the $200 coupon to work. Says its expired or exceeded number of uses.
-
-
The coupon has now expired, but you will still get the $200 gift card in its place. It just means you will have to spend more $$ at Dell when the gift card comes.
-
....since my 1520 has the headphone issue, is seems like it would be worth just getting a refund and going with this offer because 500 off 1499+ for an XPS seems better than 400 off a 1299 inspiron
-
-
Well I got the giftcard from Dell for ordering the inspiron anyway, but I dont consider it a discount really since I dont have more that I had planned on buying from Dell. I will because otherwise the coupon would go to waste, but yeah.
Perhaps with new coupons on the 20th I will see, since my warranty will still be valid for 3 more days, but really I'm not sure it makes all that much of a difference. I'd be getting a better graphics card but lower screen resolution, paying about 100$ extra, and not getting a gift card. Oh well. -
Best 1530 Deal Ever!!!!
