i signed up at ieee.org as a student and got the win7 free download (after paying $15 for the annual membership).

NOW... i have the 1537 w.fingerprint scanner. wondering if there's any issues with any drivers out there for hardware i should be aware of. who else has switched to Win7? worth it over vista? heard it is but i don't want to lose my saved info and fingerprint login ability.

    thanks!

Try downloading the Windows 7 upgrade advisor.

Also, I'm a student in college for my first semester.. I'm trying to find information on the website you mentioned regarding Windows 7. Would you be able to post an exact link and maybe some more information?

    Thanks!

    This should do it:

    http://www.ieee.org/web/membership/join/join.html?WT.mc_id=tu_join

Then click "Join as a student"

I signed up 4 days ago and have yet to get my info. Though they say it can take up to two weeks.
