Well, I figure its time to give dell tech support a call *shudders*. I've been getting blue screens that reference memory read error or something to that effect (I should write it down next time it happens) when I play ghost recon or doom 3 (any hardware intensive game or program to be more specific) sometimes. I figure my cheap dell ram is probably going bad or something, but before I called dell just wanted to hear if you guys had any suggestions/thoughts. Actually my laptop in general has been getting a wee bit hot, I checked and there isn't any dust build up, it sort of worries me.

Check for errors with Memtest86. Let it run atleast for a couple hours but i recommend running it overnight.

The BSOD could also be caused by bad/faulty drivers so you could try updating drivers

You could also try re-seating your laptop memory.

Tried re-seating it already (no change there), and I'm pretty confident about the drivers (haven't changed any since my last install of windows and they are all fairly up to date). I'll let memtest86 run overnight and see what it says, thanks a ton to the both of you.

REad the thread NMI: Check memory parity error here to find out. ON the 3rd page or 2nd page there'll be a picture of how the message look like then u can compare with what happened to yours.
