    Battry Recalibration!?!

    Okay check this out, I ran across an issue when I was reformatting my brothers harddrive last night. When I turned his laptop on (he has an older Dell Inspiron 1000) a message came up that asked if I'd like to perform a battery recalibration, and that the process would take approximately 4-8 hours!!!

    Has anyone came across this before? I was suggesting that he just get a new battery....any thoughts?
