well i just got bf 2142 on this computer and ive encountered several issues.

    1. when i run the game in the options the only 2 resolutions i can choose are 800x600 and 1024x768. the spaces where the other resolutions should be are empty.

2.when running the game, regardless if the settings are on max or min, i seem to "lag". its not crazy lag but definately noticeable and interferes with gameplay.

I was wondering if anyone else have this issue, and could maybe provide me with some insight on how to fix it.

    to solve the resoltion issue:

right click your icon > Properties > edit the target path to "C:\Program Files\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +widescreen 1 +szx xxxx +szy xxx" or whichever is your relevant installation directory and pixel count.

    Code:
    For example mine is:
    "C:\Program Files\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +widescreen 1 +szx 1440 +szy 900

well i tried it out and here are the results...

    1. Even on battery power and regular clock speeds on the card, and max settings, Bf 2142 now runs smooth as silk.

    2. i am not sure if the resolution has been changed. The values are still blank and it still says that my resoultion is 1024 x 768 in the game. Is it possible it says that but the real resolution is 1280x800 since that is what i set it to with the icon shortcut?

sorry i spoke too soon. it ran great yesterday but today i have the exact same problem.

i think ill give up on EA in general. their games have good concepts but are usually very buggy. guess this company cant deliver. oh yeah and they have **** tech support.
