I just ordered my i9300 (due March 30th), and I have a 6-cell primary battery, but I ordered a 9-cell additional battery.
I read somewhere that some of the batteries don't fit the same on some machines. I found out today that the 6-cell battery in the 9300 is the same one in the 9200.
Does anyone know if the 6-cell and 9-cell fit the same way in the 9300? Will I have any problems with these two different batteries?
Thanks!

My guess is that since it has three more cell, the battery will stick out a little bit from the back of the notebook.
I know things, things that could get me killed

Thanks for your help.

The battery doesn't install at the back of the machine. It's towards the front. There is no room for it to be bigger or smaller. I imagine the 6 cell just has empty space inside. They should therefor be interchangable.

On the Inspiron 6000 the batteries are the same sizes. I have the 9-cell battery (rather than the default 6 cell) and it does not stick out the back nor does it elevate the laptop. It is exactly the same size.
I never had the 6-cell though since I upgraded and I do hear that the 9-cell is slightly heavier, but thats about it. There isnt any physical difference though as far as it altering the shape of the laptop.
